…to build a new movement
that makes public education
work for students of color?
For 7 weeks this past spring, Team Captains introduced TAF to literally thousands of new people. They raised raised over $9,600 from 116 new donors.
And in the process, they raised awareness about the crisis in public education.
By leveraging the power of their own social networks, these individuals contributed to TAF’s efforts to find a solution that works for students of color.
That’s what building a movement is all about!

The Need
Low graduation rates. High dropout rates. Weak standardized test scores. Lagging competition with other nations. We all know the problems facing today’s students of color.
The next generation of students is inheriting a public school system that is seriously broken. Without the right resources and skills, how can they expect to become the leaders and innovators that shape our future?

could they go if they had your support?
The Solution
TAF’s programs follow a simple formula that brings success to traditionally underserved communities.
Higher Expectations + Greater Access
+ More Investment
= Unlimited Student Success
Our students graduate from high school, go to college and enter the workforce prepared to become leaders and innovators in critical STEM* fields.
What we need now is a movement to transform public education into a system that works for all student, particularly for students of color. The goal is within our reach.

could we go if we come together as a movement?
*STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
